Your purchase and license.
The license price is shown in US dollars. Stripe Checkout shows the total and any applicable tax before payment. After the store verifies payment, download your original license and purchase agreement/payment confirmation, then save a private purchase-access file. The agreement includes the terms saved for your order and the verified subtotal, tax and total paid; it opens offline and can be printed from your browser. Entering a name or returning from Checkout does not itself confirm payment.
If confirmation is delayed, keep the original tab, check its status and contact us if needed. Do not pay again merely because the first return was slow. Your purchase page provides the original license, purchase agreement and terms as downloads. After payment verification, we also send those three original records to the email address collected at Checkout. If the message is missing, check spam or junk, use the purchase-page downloads or contact support. An email delivery problem does not require another payment. Keep the agreement, receipt, license and access file in a safe place.
Use License & ownership → Open my license file in the desktop app. An order reference alone cannot recover a private license. If you lose your access file, support must verify the original purchaser against the payment record. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, full card numbers or your private purchase-access file by email.
Open your desktop license.
- Keep your purchase files. Once payment is confirmed, download the original license file, purchase agreement and private purchase-access file. After payment verification, we also send your original license, purchase agreement and terms to your Checkout email address. Download and keep your private purchase-access file separately; it is not attached to the email. If an email is missing, use the purchase-page downloads or contact support rather than paying again.
- Choose Open my license file. This appears on the activation screen. If the editor is already open, choose License & ownership first.
- Select the actual .quiltlicense file. In the file chooser, click the downloaded filename, then click Open. Selecting a folder only navigates into it. Keep the original file extension; a receipt, purchase-access file or quilt project is not a license.
- Keep an independent copy. After activation, save a copy of the license somewhere safe for reinstalling or using your other computers. Activation is local and does not need Community sign-in or internet.
If Open stays disabled, confirm that you have selected the file itself, not its folder. If the app rejects the file, keep the error message and contact support with your order reference. Do not paste the license or purchase-access file into a public post or Community upload.
Save, back up and recover.
One quilt: Save project creates or updates its .quiltstudio file, including its custom blocks and fabric photos. Save As creates an independent quilt. Keep a copy somewhere separate from this device.
Your saved collection: My studio → Back up library downloads a .quiltlibrary file containing saved quilts, saved blocks and saved fabric stash records, including stock information. Finish or save an open block drawing first. This portable backup does not include checkpoint history, unfinished drawings, your license, Community sign-in or the private purchase-access file; keep your license and purchase files separately.
Restore a portable backup: My studio → Restore backup lets you select a .quiltlibrary file. Existing items are preserved; conflicting items become separate restored copies. Review restored fabric stock before using it. Cancel restore stops that import without changing the existing collection.
Recover your collection on another computer.
- Bring the right files. Keep your original .quiltlicense file and your .quiltlibrary backup. A purchase receipt or Community sign-in cannot replace them. If you saved only a .quiltstudio file, use Open project to recover that one quilt instead.
- Install and activate. Use the download for your computer and activate with your original license file. Use a compatible version that can read the backup. A library backup does not activate the app.
- Import the collection. Open My studio → Restore backup, select the .quiltlibrary file itself and click Open. Wait for the completion message. Keep the original backup.
- Open and check a recovered quilt. Choose it in My studio. Importing a backup does not replace the quilt already on your canvas. Check its colours, block orientations and fabric photos, then use Save project to keep a portable file on this computer.
- Check your stash. Review restored stock and any separate restored copies before recording cuts. Keep the original backup and license somewhere separate from the computer.
If the message says Restored 0 library items, identical items may already be present. Check My studio before importing again. Restoring the same unchanged backup does not deliberately make a second copy of every quilt.
Earlier device library: A way back to your library is a different desktop recovery tool. Restoring one of those copies replaces the device library and local settings after making a protected copy of the current state. It does not replace project files saved elsewhere.
Autosave and recovery copies on the same computer do not protect against losing that computer. Keep independent backups.
Request a feature or report a problem.
Choose Feedback in the app. Describe what you tried, what happened and what you expected. Add an email address if you want a reply. App details are optional and shown before you send. If sending is unavailable, choose Copy message and email it to reece@levelupclassroom.com. The support form is also available from the activation screen. Nothing is attached automatically.
Our 14-day refund window.
You may request a refund of the app purchase for any reason by contacting reece@levelupclassroom.com within 14 days after purchase with your order or receipt reference. Once we verify the original purchase and that it has not already been refunded, we will return the amount paid for that purchase through the original payment method. Payment-provider and bank processing times can vary.
A full app refund ends permission to use the refunded app license, as explained in Ownership and license. You keep ownership of your own designs, photos and exported work. Do not send replacement bank/card details or your private purchase-access file.
This window does not limit cancellation, refund or other remedies available under applicable consumer law, including remedies that may apply after the stated window. Keep your original files safe when resolving a purchase problem.
What support includes.
12 months of individual email support after purchase. All updates within the purchased major version. Paid major upgrades are optional. No guaranteed response time or lifetime individual-support promise is included. The support period does not end your applicable privacy or consumer rights.
When reporting a problem, include the app version, operating system, what you tried and the exact error. Review the optional local support report before sharing it. Send a synthetic sample or a copy you are comfortable sharing, rather than your whole private library.
Before you cut or print.
Review fabric widths, project dimensions, seam allowance, units and construction warnings. Make a representative test block first. Only pages marked as actual-size templates are cutting templates; placement maps and quilt previews are not. Print at 100% / Actual size and measure the calibration line. See the making guide and the app’s offline help.
